Dannie has worked in various facets of the travel industry, but has never gotten to travel much on company’s expense.

 However, sometime in 2004, he made full use of a company trip to Sri Lanka by making an impression on a lovely lady. Said lovely lady eventually became his wife and they have been inseparable ever since.

Dannie’s wish to start a family was put on hold for 2 years so that the couple could make a once-in-a-lifetime trip to the American continents. Encouraged by friends and family, he started blogging about his experiences during the journey, and found a new audience for his corny humour and offbeat thinking.

His wife is relieved, because he has now learnt to imagine others laughing at his jokes, and she is no longer obliged to do it all the time.

 In February 2010, the couple returned from their year-long travel bliss to life in a HDB flat with their pet fish, plastic ferns and a four-poster bed. They are currently wondering whether there is any space to catalogue books on parenting between Batman and X-Men in Dannie’s wall-to-wall comic collection.
