Children’s Birthday Parties (Part 2)
In order for a party to be successful these days, most children’s Parties include a goody bag…and our Milo Party was of no exception.
In order to fill our goody bag, we went down to Nestle in Changi Business Park, and through our kind sponsors, we filled our goody bags full of Milo products!
I have never seen so much green stuff in my life…It was like St. Patrick’s Day
Parenting Tip - If you can’t get sponsors for your party, we normally go down to the Ex- Concourse Wholesalers to get our Goody Bag Toys and Sweets. They sell everything at the shops from balloons to crackers…so they are a good place to start for budget items. They are now located behind Bugis in the direction of Parklane Shopping Centre.
Nicole also likes her parties to have games…And as requested by our Birthday Gal…her party had games!
We managed to get our trusted friends to come down and help us. They were most willing to oblige and organized some “Milo Games”, according to the theme of the party.
Parenting Tip - Get as many friends and relatives to help, as the extra hands go a long way when you are organizing a Party.
Party Games
Remember these kids are not around your age, so they don’t need to play Pictionary or Charades. Simple Games like balancing a ball, throwing a ball into the basket….can really make a party kick! So frankly, you don’t have to think very hard, and the kids really love it!
For Nicole’s Party, we had some simple games, where we just threw in lots of prizes. The kids loved it!
For Example. her First game was: Stand on the Magic Number!
This is a simple game where the birthday girl would draw out the lucky number, and if you were standing on the Magic Number, you would win a Prize!
We also had traditional Party favorites like Passing the Parcel…the kids loved it, as every time the parcel came to you, you got a prize!

Other games included a Milo Telematch
The idea was just to throw in as games as possible involving the theme Milo…and we got them to run with their Milo satchets, Balance the Milo satchets on their heads…the kids just loved it!
And of course we had food…According to my daughter…the Perfect Party must end off with Burgers and Fries from McDonald’s…
And the kids naturally had NO objections!
Although Children’s Parties can be quite tiring, as there is a lot of crowd control to do
, but the kids really remember it, and Nicole still talks about her first “Traffic Light Party” up to today.
Having a Clown or a Magician at a party is always great, but I hope that these affordable Party Games will help you lessen your financial load as well!
