Usually referring to the position of the foetus within the uterus.  Sometimes babies will become positioned horizontally across the uterus, instead of the vertical position with the head or buttocks pointing toward the cervix.  Usually the foetus will orientate himself properly before labour.  If the baby cannot be properly orientated, a C-section may be needed.
